BODYCAM BRIEFS

Editorial Policy & AI Disclosure

Our purpose is educational discussion of police encounters. A useful analysis explains the evidence, its limits and the competing interpretations without turning an accusation into a verdict.

Source hierarchy

The source video and supplied analysis materials establish the scope of each case page. A witness report, an officer's statement, a recorded admission and an independently obtained court judgment are different kinds of information. We aim to identify which one supports a claim. We do not describe a court outcome as independently verified unless an actual record has been checked.

Legal references

References named in the supplied analysis are a reading list. A citation does not establish that a particular search, detention, statement or use of force was lawful. The jurisdiction, incident date, complete factual record and relevant decisions matter. Legal references have not all undergone an independent legal review. This site is not legal advice.

What remains uncertain

A bodycam can omit events before activation, people outside its view and details missing from edited footage. We distinguish what a source reports from our interpretation. Where a transaction record, complete recording, laboratory result or judgment is missing, we treat it as a limitation.

AI-assisted text and images

AI has assisted with summaries, editorial writing and thumbnail edits. Existing thumbnails may include reconstructed faces or other details. They must not be relied on to identify a person or determine what happened. Our future editing standard is to preserve identity-protection blurs and avoid generating identifying facial details. Report a misleading image through Contact.

Corrections and conduct

We accept evidence-based corrections and privacy or rights requests at mmofilter@gmail.com. Material corrections should explain what changed. We do not encourage harassment, doxxing or attempts to contact people appearing in the footage. Our site is independent of the agencies and businesses discussed.

Advertising

AdSense verification is in place; Google approval is not implied. An advertisement is not an editorial endorsement. Paid arrangements, if introduced, should be identified clearly. Advertising must not obscure the video controls or invite accidental clicks.
